Due to the need to safely isolate from the surrounding populations, like Roatan and the mainland, MEI sponsors a work-program to assist Helene neighbors to stay safe, remain active and keep food on the table. The MEI work-program employs different people from the community each week, working to cleanup around the roads (paths). MEI, through generous support of donations, pays them for this work and also gives them a bag of food at the end of the week.
