In Philippians chapter 4 Paul, the great apostle-missionary, evangelist and church planter, is writing to believers. He talks about how THANKFUL he is for them, and the gospel ministry that is taking place! He encourages them not to be anxious. He tells them to prayerfully, and with thanksgiving, to make their requests to the Lord. And then he says that IF they do this, the peace of God (that is above our understanding) will protect their hearts and minds…
Now…. As I sit here and type this I realize that I am VERY inferior to the apostle Paul, but I DO pray that your heart and mind is encouraged today as we look at all the things Mission Encounters International has to be thankful for this year.
We are so thankful for:
The followers of Jesus on the Bay Islands of Honduras that have been baptized and are taking steps to grow in their faith!
The new muslim-background believers in Eastern Africa that have begun boldly sharing their faith with others!
The doors that the Lord has opened for MEI to share the gospel and train believers on Roatan and other islands!
A new missionary family that is in the application process with MEI!
More than 10 new discipleship groups that have been started by MEI missionaries and partners this year!
More than 80 students (as well as parents and teachers) involved in the Helene Christian English School that clearly heard the gospel of Jesus this year.
All the patients to the medical clinic that were cared for and had the love of Christ shown to them!
There are many other things God is doing through MEI, but lastly we are VERY THANKFUL for YOU! All the partners in this ministry that God has called us to. Partners that faithfully PRAY for us, GIVE financially to MEI, and often GO to the hard places to minister. We are so grateful for your support and could not do this Great Commission work without people like you!
“And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel—no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.” –Phil. 4:15
