Helene is in a drought. Most of the wells have gone dry or are slowly producing water. 

Water is difficult to come by. Helene has not had any major rainstorms in over 4 months, and we have had very high temperatures, with little or no breeze. Helene does follow the pattern of the larger island of Roatan. Roatan has so much more land mass, and they get rain more often than Helene. This year just traveling to Roatan about once a week I have seem more rainfall on Roatan than Helene. Often, we find people lining up to get water from a well that has little to offer. 

Our well is producing about 150 gallons every 24 hours. Families will come by just looking to fill a 5-gallon bucket. When we get to the bottom of a well the water maybe fuller of silt, Iron, or particles of dirt. These can be a challenge to filter out.

So, we ask for prayers for Helene that God would hear us and answer our prayers and that rain would fall from Heaven.
